Prerequisites

  • Create a Shopify account.
  • Log in to the Dashboard and complete the KYC requirements. During the KYC review process, we may reach out to you for clarifications. You can address these queries on the Razorpay Dashboard.
Watch Out!Avoid using Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout and its dependent apps on multiple Shopify stores with the same Razorpay merchant ID.

Steps

Follow the steps given below:

1. Install Apps

After submitting your KYC details and receiving approval to accept payments, you will receive a confirmation via WhatsApp, SMS and email and be redirected to the COD & Magic Checkout sign-up page.
  1. Install the Razorpay - COD & Magic Checkout app on the Shopify app store.
Handy TipsIf you have multiple stores, select a store for which you want to install the following apps.
  1. You will be redirected to the Shopify app store, click Install.
  2. You will then be redirected to the Shopify admin, click Install. After installation, you will be redirected to the Razorpay Dashboard.
  3. Click Start to select the features for your store, install and activate the necessary apps and configure settings like COD, checkout, RTO and more.
  4. In the Build your buying experience screen, select the features based on your requirement and click Continue.
    • Smart COD Configurations: Show/hide the COD payment option based on 15+ criteria, such as order value, product SKU, or shipping location to reduce COD orders from high RTO risk customers and charge a COD fee to offset potential losses.
    • Payments & Checkout: Combine a fast, efficient checkout process with Razorpay’s payment gateway, offering 100+ payment modes and features like login, address pre-fill and smart coupons to streamline checkout experience.
    • Affordability Widget: Display discounts and EMI options directly on the product screen, increasing customer interest and boosting purchase intent.
  5. In the Install Apps section, install the required apps based on the selected features. For each app installation, you will be redirected to the Shopify app store and admin. Once the installation is complete, you will be returned to onboarding.
    1. Razorpay COD Payments App: Enables a safe and seamless checkout process and lets you configure COD availability based on pincodes and customer details to reduce RTO. Know more about Razorpay COD Payments App.

2. Activate Apps

You must activate the selected features to complete the payment setup. In the Activate Apps on Shopify section, activate the following apps:
  1. Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout App
    1. Click Activate Now in the bottom right corner.
    2. You will be redirected to the Shopify theme editor page to inject the Checkout script on your checkout, click Save in the top right corner.
    3. After saving the script, close this tab, return to the Razorpay Dashboard and refresh the page to complete the remaining activations.
  2. Razorpay COD Payments App
    1. Click Activate Now in the bottom right corner.
    2. You will be redirected to the Shopify payments settings page to activate COD as a payment method, click Activate in the top right corner.
    3. After activation, close this tab, return to the Razorpay Dashboard and refresh the page to complete the remaining activations.
  3. 1 Razorpay App
    1. Click Activate Now in the bottom right corner.
    2. You will be redirected to the Shopify payments settings page to activate Razorpay as a payment option, click Activate in the top right corner.
    3. After activation, close this tab, return to the Razorpay Dashboard and refresh the page to complete the remaining activations.
  4. Affordability & Trust Badges
    1. Click Activate Now in the bottom right corner.
    2. You will be redirected to the Shopify product configuration page. Under the Template section, click Add block → Apps.
    3. Select Affordability widget and RTB widget.
    4. Click Save in the top right corner.
    5. After activation, close this tab, return to the Razorpay Dashboard and refresh the page.
